Dr. Michael Cornelius Blum brings more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, founder, management consultant and CEO and CSO of digital companies to his role as Advisory Board & Senior Advisor. He has repeatedly built up companies and joint ventures and successfully implemented major transformations. Michael has advised more than 50 projects with an NPV of over EUR 9 billion. He has worked for numerous DAX and M-DAX companies. Coming from a 400-year-old family business, he thinks sustainably and understands the requirements and opportunities of SMEs as well as the rules of the game in corporations.
His expertise lies in the fields of corporate governance, corporate & regulatory strategy, public affairs & communication, transformation/change, project recovery, project and crisis management. His industry focus is on mobility markets (all modes of transport), the infrastructure and digital economy as well as e-health, energy and e-mobility.
Michael Blum teaches infrastructure economics and management at Bauhaus University Weimar. He holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Ulm, an MBA in business engineering from the Institute of Information Systems at the University of St. Gallen (CH) and a diploma in industrial business administration. He likes to spend his spare time with his family and friends, does a lot of sport, enjoys cooking and is involved in the “Future Factory 2050” think tank.
